AIDS day 2009 in Fresno was remembered with reverence, hope and a strong call for the education of practicing safe sex. Nelson Vergel, the keynote speaker for the event been HIV positive for 27 years. He encouraged the crowd, “Most of us have a life expectancy of over 50 years after discovering a positive test.
