Oasis Legal Services Community Open House

We are Oasis Legal Services, a nonprofit legal service provider for LGBTQ+ immigrants and asylum seekers with locations in Berkeley and Fresno California. To celebrate the second year anniversary of our Fresno office, we are hosting our first community fundraiser in Fresno at the historic Tower Theatre (Lounge). Our presence in Fresno would not have happened but for the explicit demand of LGBTQ+ immigrants living in the Central Valley.

Since opening our doors in Berkeley back in 2017, we’ve always had clients from the Central Valley, and have now supported over 1,600 queer and trans asylum seekers (helping them safely remain in the US) and over 2,600 clients with other affirmative immigration relief. But we take our mission a step further, ensuring that our clients are supported in navigating social services like housing, employment, and healthcare, and that they themselves are included in policy advocacy efforts. On Thursday, April 11, from 5:30pm to 7pm, we hope to gather with our friends (old and new!) and fiercest allies to showcase what we’ve accomplished so far together and share our work with the community.

We hope to celebrate with you all next month! RSVP is required and we’re expecting a full house at around 100 people. Small bites and drinks will be provided, as well as a free door prize raffle.
