Dr. Andrew G. See graduated from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, with a bachelors of science degree in biology and bachelors of art degree in Spanish. He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in South Carolina. He went on to complete his internship and residency at Palmetto Health/USC Medical Group, Family Medicine. Prior to joining Community Health Partners, Dr. See was an active-duty physician and the EMS medical director at the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, taking care of active-duty service members, dependents and retirees. Dr. See has a strong interest in LGBTQIA+ healthcare and tailoring the healthcare treatment plan for each of his patient’s specific needs. During his time in the military, he was the primary care liaison for the transgender care team and helped coordinate care for transitioning active-duty service members. As a certified diabetes prevention program instructor, Dr. See enjoys getting to know each of his patients to understand their needs better and help set personalized health goals with each individual. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. See can be found kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and cooking.

LGBT Commuity network started as a not-for-profit organization under the name of Fresno Pride in 2000. It was started because of the few organizations that existed none were publicly accessible. We wanted to be available and make the community’s events and resources available to all online. We believe that without our existence a sense of community and connectedness would still be absent in the area. Being a stable and accessible organization for over twenty years has allowed us to serve countless community members and also share a sense of normalcy that youth look up to as they may be struggling with their sexuality and gender expression.nnOur organization is unique in that it is the only organization that specifically operates throughout multiple cities in California’s most conservative areas.nnOur original mission was only to inform and educate on LGBT+ issues and events related to the Fresno area. Our mission has expanded over the years to include additional cities and also offering services/programs.

I am a wedding and boudoir photographer here in the valley with a studio located in downtown Fresno. My imagery focuses on love, emotional connection, and inclusivity while embracing color and joy.  As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the continued feeling of having to come out and/or choosing to present your authentic self or mask when meeting new people. I am here to welcome you with open arms and capture your memories of your true self and unequivocal love. My studio and business are a jugement-free zone and safe space.

I am a transgender, multi-disciplinary artist. I mainly do figurative realism using a modern anime- and street-art-inspired style or a historical/vintage hyperrealism style, but I am also skilled at landscapes, pets, and plants. I am versed in all 2D media (painting, drawing) and I also do murals, and even digital artwork including fliers, logos, and book cover art. I am open to artist collaboratives, and I accept commissions (custom art requests).

Irene’s Cafe is the place to enjoy a casual and tropical dining experience. Irene’s serves breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week. In addition she has great breakfast lunch and dinner specials daily that have made it the area’s favorite eating drinking and meeting place in the Tower District since opening in 1991.

When it comes to hardship and emotional pain the path towards healing is not around the pain; I believe healing is one’s journey through the pain. This journey is different from person-to-person and may encompass various forms of trauma. I believe the path towards healing and wellness begins with the client-counselor relationship and creating a safe space for the client to experience emotional honesty. I use an experiential approach to help clients experience emotional honesty which I describe as an alignment between one’s thoughts feelings and actions. I find that when clients achieve this alignment they are able to approach and address their issues from a place of personal integrity self-respect and with an increased capacity for coping nMy experience has included working for community based mental health agencies with various populations such as children adolescents adults and the LGBT community who have required a high level of care due to severe mental illness. I have worked with issues ranging from adjustment disorders ADHD Bipolar Disorder Depression Anxiety Substance Abuse Schizophrenia Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Personality Disorders and issues pertaining to sexual/gender identity. I have worked with clients in the contexts of individual couples families and groups. I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2010 from San Francisco State University and my Masters Degree in Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Fresno in 2013. I have completed basic training for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to address symptoms of traumatic stress. When I am not practicing therapy I serve as a post-graduate teacher’s assistant for California State University Fresno and provide presentations on affirmative therapy and core competencies for working with the LGBT community.

We’ve spent 40 years creating the most powerful movement for equality our country has ever seen. But despite this progress our most marginalized are still suffering from violence discrimination and fear. Our goal is to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people and particularly those of us who are trans people of color and HIV+ are treated as full and equal citizens within our movement across our country and around the world.
