From the family of the athlete competing this weekend in Clovis:
Come and cheer for AB during her events (long jump and triple jump).
“I want people to cheer after AB hits the pit and/or when AB receives her medals because it’s usually me 🤭 so I want her to know she has a tribe behind her.”
DON’T focus to be on her status as a trans athlete. They request no rainbows, no pride flags (trans or otherwise). They DO want the focus to be on her athletic performance and the fact that she’s a kid competing as best as she can.
DON’T want anyone interacting with anti trans protestors or causing any kind of disturbance that will take away from the experience of AB and the other kids at the meet.
They don’t want us to protest, only to cheer AB on.
