In the heart of California’s Central Valley, the Fresno Police Department (FPD) grapples with a complex history of community relations with the LGBTQ+ community. This history, marked by bigotry, intolerance, and chauvinism, has left scars that still resonate today. However, there is newfound hope for change as the FPD hires a dedicated LGBTQ+ liaison, signaling a fresh vision of support and acceptance.
