In recent weeks three fires have occurred in the Tower District, all within the same proximity, Two of the fires took place at either gay owned and operated, or formerly gay operated and still gay owned nightclubs.  The first fire took place on September 26th at the North Tower Circle, the second on October 1st at

The Red Lantern was host for the show “Too Hot Too Handle”, on Friday, October 14th. The show, conceived and arranged by Elaine Beringer, Tatiana and Patsy Del Rey, was a benefit for the employees of The North Tower Circle, recently closed to a devastating fire.

The third suspicious fire to strike the north Tower District area occurred Sunday night, October 16th. A bail bond office was heavily damaged by a fast-moving fire shortly before 7 p.m. The Bail-U-Out office was located on Wishon just south of Shields near the underpass.
