Speak up at City Council Meeting

Clovis City Councilmember Diane Pearce has continued her attacks on the LGBTQ community! Several community members are calling on the Clovis City Council to set policies to prevent hateful rhetoric while using their official board member title. The board currently has no policy preventing these acts, so they can hot hold her accountable. There is also a process starting to explore a recall.

For those unfamiliar, this Councilmember has called for removing LGBTQ inclusive books from libraries, removal of a trans athlete from Clovis school sports competitions, and recently did an interview denying the existence of transgender individuals (22 mins in). Even with the rebuke from Mayor Lynn Ashbeck, these elected officials are only going to take action if they hear from us. Please take a few minutes to write/visit/join online.

  1. Hello, I left a voicemail and sent an email requesting a copy of this letter, as a right as a Clovis resident.

      1. Yes. Magsig’s office called me and said there still has been no letter sent, but they are aware D. Pearce stated she intends to send one. I was given CAO office number to request the letter should one ever be sent.

          1. She has not replied to any of us, as far as we can tell. But maybe the Clovis City Manager can provide the letter.
